The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides COVID-19 relief payments of up to $1,200 per adult for individuals whose income was less than $99,000 in 2019 and $500 per child under 17 years old. Families of 4 can receive up to $3,400. Most people have already received these payments. If you have not received a payment yet and believe you are eligible, click here to check the status of your payment. If you did not file taxes in 2018 or 2019, you may be required to enter additional information so the IRS knows where to send your check.
California is also making COVID-19 relief funding available to undocumented immigrants. A single adult can receive up to $500 and a household can receive up to $1,000.
